Oscar studied business economics and fiscal economics at the University of Tilburg. He started his career working in the M&A team of PwC. Oscar is vastly experienced at due diligence and the structuring of transactions. In 2012 he won the award for Best M&A Tax Advisor.

Rowdy Schouten

Partner

Rowdy studied tax law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He started his career working in the M&A team of PwC. Rowdy has vast experience at due diligence and the structuring of management participations, in particular with respect to midmarket deals. In 2011, and from 2013 up to and including 2022 he was the winner of the M&A Awards in de category Best M&A Tax Advisor.

Olaf Kroon

Partner

Olaf has studied tax law at the University of Utrecht. He started his career working in the M&A team of EY for almost 4 years (1998-2002). Then he worked as a tax lawyer in the M&A practice groups of global law firms Allen & Overy (2002-2009), Linklaters (2009-2015) and Jones Day (2015-2016). He has a long track record and has assisted some of the most prominent Dutch and international private equity houses.

Ronald van de Merwe

Ronald has studied tax law at the University of Groningen. He has worked in the M&A Tax practice groups of EY and KPMG Meijburg&Co since 1998. Ronald has assisted numerous M&A projects (buy-side and sell-side) for both buyout funds and strategic parties. He has a thorough understanding of business valuation methods. In 2023 he received the M&A award for Best M&A Tax Advisor.

Ronald Braxhoofden

Ronald has over 30 years of experience in the field of indirect taxes gained in the capacity of tax consultant (PwC) and as head of VAT of a listed company (Royal Dutch KPN). In this capacity he has been associated with various national and international organizations (including Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers). Ronald holds a Master in Tax Law from Leiden University and a Post Master in VAT Assurance from Tilburg University.

Anne Jorritsma

Partner

Anne studied tax law and economics at the University of Groningen. He worked at KPMG Meijburg & Co for 20 years, with a secondment to KPMG's New York office in 2004 and 2005. He is an international tax lawyer, specialized in international tax and international M&A projects, with a regional focus on the US, Norway and Sweden. Anne is an annotator on international tax for the tax journal NLFiscaal and publishes explanatory comments to the US-Netherlands treaty and on treaty abuse for NDFR. Anne did the Lisbon marathon in 3 hours and 5 minutes.

Sjuul Jentjens

Associate partner

Sjuul advises on the tax aspects of M&A transactions. He has been involved in a great variety of transactions, with a focus on private equity and venture capital deals, as well as deals in the financial industry. Before joining JSA Tax Consultancy, Sjuul worked as a tax lawyer for NautaDutilh in Amsterdam, with a secondment to New York from 2018 to 2020. Sjuul obtained a MSc in fiscal economics from Tilburg University and an LLM in international and European law from the University of Amsterdam.

Edward Rijnhout

Edward has studied tax law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He started his career working in the tax team of NautaDutilh with a focus on M&A in large and midsize transaction. He has a long track record and has assisted some of the most notable Dutch and international private equity houses. Edward was nominated for the M&A Award in de category Best M&A Tax Advisor in 2022.

Marko Groen

Senior tax manager

Marko holds a bachelor's degree in tax law and economics from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. He worked at KPMG Meijburg & Co for about 10 years, after which he worked for a large multinational as tax manager. He has extensive experience in preparing (complex) corporate tax returns, tax day-to-day advice to companies and has a strong numerical insight.
